Educational Programs

The most important role of our chapter leadership is to provide relevant and current education in a variety of formats that meet the needs and busy schedules of our membership. The following Program Subcommittees have been created topical areas to fulfill this role

The Education Program year begins in September and extends through the following April. Half-Day Forums are scheduled on the third Friday of selected months beginning in September. Accounting Decision Support

PURPOSE: The Accounting/Decision Support Forum will bring together meaningful and substantive information in the practice of accounting and managerial support systems and approaches for health care financial professionals that will add value in our professional lives.

Compliance Regulatory

PURPOSE: To provide healthcare financial management professionals within the Southwestern Ohio Chapter area with updates and insight relative to important federal and state regulations and compliance issues.

Managed Care

PURPOSE: To update the membership on current managed care trends, contracting strategy, revenue management, & market developments.

Physician

PURPOSE: Provide HFMA members insight on current trends and future movements in the physician practice sector of the Healthcare industry.

Revenue Cycle

PURPOSE: To facilitate the interaction of Patient Accounting professionals within the Southwestern Ohio Chapter area to promote the profession and HFMA.

Reimbursement

PURPOSE: To serve and represent members by providing professional development opportunities through educational programs in areas that affect reimbursement to healthcare providers.
